Walk and Talk Counselling
I believe that growth happens when you feel safe, heard, and accepted exactly as you are.
For some people, that sense of ease comes more naturally side-by-side in the open air than sitting face-to-face in a therapy room.
That’s why I offer outdoor Walk and Talk Therapy, it’s a gentle, grounding alternative to traditional indoor sessions.

Walk and Talk Therapy combines the core principles of person-centred counselling with the restorative benefits of being in nature. Instead of sitting across from each other, we walk at your pace in a local green space, allowing the rhythm of movement and the natural environment to support our work together.

Being outdoors can help ease anxiety, reduce feelings of intensity, and make it easier to speak freely. Many clients find that walking side-by-side feels less pressured and more natural. The changing seasons and landscape can also offer space for reflection, perspective, and new ways of seeing challenges.

Our sessions remain confidential, professional, and focused on you. We can pause, sit, or adjust the pace at any time. There is no expectation of fitness and this is about your comfort, not distance or speed. If you prefer, we can also integrate traditional indoor sessions alongside outdoor work.

Walk and Talk Therapy may be especially helpful if you:
- Feel restless, stuck, or anxious in a traditional therapy setting
- Find it easier to talk while moving
- Feel connected to nature or benefit from time outdoors
- Want a more relaxed, less formal counselling experience

At the heart of this approach is the same commitment I bring to all my work: to offer a warm, accepting, and non-judgemental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace.

If you’re curious about whether outdoor therapy might feel right for you, I’d be happy to talk it through. You’re welcome to get in touch for an initial conversation to see if we’re a good fit.
