About Georgina Talbot Counselling

A compassionate approach to help you navigate your own path through loss.

About me

I am a person centred counsellor who has worked with many clients who are navigating loss and bereavement. I work with an understanding that no two peoples path through grief and loss will be the same.

I provide a safe, empathetic space for you to navigate your own path, valuing your individuality and autonomy and ensuring you feel heard and supported on your unique journey.

As a member of the BACP I follow their ethical framework which holds me to a high standard of practice and puts you at the centre of our therapeutic relationship.

I am also a member of The Person Centred Association and follow this approach in all my work.

I work online, by telephone and also in person at wellness hubs around Northamptonshire and Warwickshire.

My Experience

Age UK Coventry & Warwickshire – I have supported clients with a variety of issues, with a focus on bereavement and loneliness which so often go hand in hand.

KidsAid – I have also counselled children and young people throughout Northamptonshire within school settings.

The Person-Centred Approach

This approach puts you at the core of our sessions – you set the pace, the direction and the content of each session.

I am a firm believer that as an individual you know what is best for you and as such I am not there to tell you what to do. I am there to truly listen to you and help support you to make your own choices and decide your own direction, with acceptance and without judgement.

It is astonishing how elements that seem insoluble become soluble when someone listens, how confusions that seem irremediable turn into relatively clear flowing streams when one is heard.
