Sometimes life can feel a bit like this. đŸŒ«ïžThe path ahead isn’t clear. You can’t quite see where you’re going, what’s around the next corner or how you’re going to get through what’s in front of you.I often meet people who feel a bit like they’re walking through fog.Perhaps something has changed, they’ve experienced a loss, they’re feeling overwhelmed or they’ve simply reached a point where they don’t know which way to turn. When you’re in the middle of it, it can be difficult to see beyond what’s immediately in front of you.Counselling won’t necessarily make the fog disappear, and I’m not here to tell you which direction to take. But it can offer a space to pause, explore what’s going on for you and begin to make sense of what’s happening, at your own pace. And sometimes, you don’t need to see the whole path ahead. Just finding a little clarity about the next step can be enough. If life feels a little foggy at the moment, you don’t have to navigate it all on your own.www.georginatalbotcounselling.co.uk#Counselling #PersonCentredCounselling #MentalHealthMatters #EmotionalWellbeing #YouAreNotAlone #FindingYourWay #LifeTransitions #FeelingOverwhelmed #SelfExploration #NorthamptonshireCounselling #RugbyCounselling #WarwickshireCounselling #GeorginaTalbotCounselling …

đŸ§¶ A little something I’ve been working on
I’ve been keeping myself busy knitting a new hat and some hand warmers, using hand-spun wool from the Isle of Skye that I bought back at Easter. It’s been on my to-do list for quite a while, but with the weather turning chillier, I decided it was time to get started.Knitting is a really mindful activity for me. The repetitive movements, counting stitches and watching something gradually take shape all help me to slow down, relax and reset.I think it’s lovely how different activities can offer us different ways of finding a little breathing space in our day. And what works for one person won’t necessarily work for another. And if you join me for a walk-and-talk session, you might just get to see the finished articles in the flesh! đŸ‚đŸ§¶What’s your go-to activity when you want to slow down and switch off?www.georginatalbotcounselling.co.uk#MindfulMoments #FindingYourPause #SlowDown #KnittingForWellbeing #MindfulActivities #CounsellingNorthamptonshire #PersonCentredCounselling #WalkAndTalkTherapy #GeorginaTalbotCounselling …

đŸ‘» Things scarier than Halloween
Sometimes, getting to know ourselves a little better can feel daunting. It might mean exploring feelings we’ve pushed aside, questioning beliefs we’ve held for years, or finding words for experiences we’ve never really spoken about. And sometimes, the thought of sitting in a room with someone and talking about what’s going on inside our heads can feel pretty scary in itself! But counselling doesn’t mean having to uncover everything at once, revisit every difficult experience or have all the answers. It’s about having the space to explore whatever feels important to you, at your own pace, without judgement or expectations. You don’t need to know where to start, and you don’t have to face everything alone. What do you think is the scariest thing about getting to know yourself?Happy Halloween! 🎃#Counselling #SelfDiscovery #MentalHealthMatters #PersonalGrowth #ItsOkayNotToBeOkay #NorthamptonshireCounselling #RugbyCounselling …

🍂 When the clocks change, so can our mood. The evenings are darker, the days are getting shorter, and the change in daylight and routine can take some getting used to.For some people, the darker months can bring lower mood, reduced energy and changes in sleep. For those experiencing Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), this time of year can feel particularly difficult. Our body clocks help regulate our sleep and wake cycles, and daylight plays an important role in this. But we all respond to seasonal changes differently.💚 If you’re finding this time of year difficult, try to offer yourself some kindness rather than expecting yourself to carry on as usual. And if low mood or other symptoms persist, affect your everyday life, or feel difficult to manage, you don’t have to face them alone. You can reach out for support whenever you feel you need it.You don’t have to wait until things feel unbearable to talk to someone. How do you find this time of year? Does the change in daylight affect you?#MentalHealthMatters #SeasonalAffectiveDisorder #WinterWellbeing #SelfCompassion #CounsellingSupport #Northamptonshire #Rugby …
